The DJ Guy has been in business for over 12 years. In that time, we've done hundreds of weddings as well as sweet 16 parties, anniversaries, reunions, grad parties, holiday parties, corporate events and sports competitions. The DJ Guy was the winner of the 2010 Best of The Know Award as well as the 2011 Best of Howell Award. Some of our past clients include Pepsi Bottling Company, Michigan State University, University of Michigan, Livingston County Schools, Project Green, Bennigans Grill, and Jam Brand Cheerleading Competitions.
The DJ Guy was started with the philosophy that your wedding day (or event) is not about us. It's about the bride and groom (or guest of honor). We don't want to steal the spotlight from you. When you hire a DJ, you are hiring us to entertain your guests without an ego. We treat every client as if they're the most important because they ARE! Over 80% of our new clients are referral from our past clients. The DJ Guy wants you to recommend us as well!
As of 2012, The DJ Guy carries over 52,000 songs with us at all times! Thanks to mobile wifi and wifi hotspots, we can usually get songs we may not have in just a few minutes of their request.
Our sound and lighting systems are powerful enough to accommodate most parties up to 300 people. In some instances (usually with an oversized venue), it may be necessary to add additional equipment, but this is very rare. The lighting we use is similar to what you might see in a small nightclub and helps encourage guests to dance.
